The Boxes on Brighton Beach

Over fifty of these brightly coloured, eye-catching bathing boxes adorn Brighton's Dendy Beach.

Undoubtedly, the outsides of the bathing boxes appear to be kept in good condition by their owners who must pay their rates to the Bayside Council.

And what's inside?  All I can tell you is that at a quick glance through one box's open door, a portable gas stove was observed.

Built at a time when they seemed the right thing to own, Port Phillip Bay would now not be the same without them.
