Coffs Harbour to Dorrigo

A very pleasant drive to take whilst staying in Coffs Harbour is the 64km one south west to Dorrigo via Waterfall Way.  There's lots of picturesque farmland to be seen and if you are near Bellingen at 2.45pm, you may even have to give right of way to the cows heading for their milking sheds!  You will pass through the Bellinger River National Park and then the world heritage area of Dorrigo National Park.

Ten kilometres before Dorrigo are the Newell Falls and rest area and just three kilometres further on, the Sherrard Falls.  Dorrigo township is not very large (pop. approx. 1200) but the houses passed on the way are well kept and so too are the lawns.  The altitude here is 762metres.  There is another larger waterfall further on.  The trip from Coffs to Dorrigo and back again can take three hours with a few stops included.
